On July 1, 2025, H2 Design Xinjiang Huamei Shengdi Nalati Indigo Hotel and Xinjiang Huamei Shengdi Nalati Holiday Inn Express officially opened to the public. Strategically located at the intersection of the 8-shaped ring road connecting Duku and Yili, the hotel is approximately 300 meters away from the scenic area’s tourist center in a straight line and about 56 kilometers from Nalati Airport. Guests staying at the hotel can immerse themselves in the vast green expanse of the Nalati Grassland, drive along the Duku Highway to enjoy breathtaking natural landscapes, experience the misty and serene atmosphere of the Ili River Valley, or ride across the Bayanbulak Grassland, embracing the poetic allure often described as “Jiangnan Beyond the Great Wall.”

In Kazakh tradition, the phrase “Clouds Rise in Nalati, Riding the wind and staying overnight” evokes a sense of poetic beauty and cultural depth. As night falls, the bonfire represents not only warmth but also serves as a symbolic expression of “welcome”—extending hospitality to distant guests as well as embracing the return of family members. Within the glow of the bonfire lie the warmest and most cherished memories of Nalati.

On JuLY 1, 2025, the opening ceremony of “Clouds Rise in Nalati, Riding the wind and staying overnight” was successfully completed.

This project delves deeply into the local grassland culture of Nalati. Starting from aspects such as planning texture, distinctive living, herdsmen’s life, and festival celebrations, it aims to design a regional hotel with a strong Xinjiang flavor. The exterior facade materials also combine large areas of beige walls with traditional log structures and heavy dark metal roofs, not only creating a warm and solid appearance It also achieves the goal of harmonious unity with nature. In the overall planning, H2 also incorporates distinctive yurt elements within the low-density architectural complex to achieve the effect of an engaging landmark building.

The hotel has a total of 151 guest rooms and suites. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling Windows or viewing balconies offer a panoramic view of the magnificent scenery of the Nalati Grassland and snow-capped mountains throughout the four seasons. The boutique guest rooms are themed “Layered Forest Immersion”, with the space decorated in Mills logs and earth tones, embodying the essence of national culture. The entrance of the yurt guest room is equipped with a colorful diamond-shaped felt embroidered and carved wooden door. The dome-shaped skylight pours natural light onto the Kazakh “flower box” shaped mini bar. No matter which type of guest room guests choose, they will have a unique experience.
